Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Dian Fossey museum

Wake up with the sun rise and enjoy a delicious breakfast at your lodge before driving to the briefing center to begin your gorilla trekking adventures. This experience offers you an hour of face-to-face interactions with the mountain gorillas after traversing through the dense jungles in the lead of a ranger guide. The journey to the mountain gorilla is not as smooth, given the rugged terrains and dense canopies, however, the idea of spending time with the gorillas overpowers the exhaustion of trekking. Record videos and take pictures while in their presence for lasting moments before checking back to the lodge for lunch. There could be no gorilla trekking in Rwanda if it were not for the works of Dian Fossey. This is why in the afternoon, you will visit the Dian Fossey museum, explore the works she did through her conservation efforts to protect the mountain gorillas for us to explore today. Learn the hardships she endured to protect these primates from the poachers until the time of her death. Return to the lodge by evening for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Travel to Nyungwe National Park

Travel from Volcanoes National Park for over 8-9 hours to Nyungwe National Park in the far southern region of Rwanda. Experience the scenic views of the countryside with an en route lunch midway through your travel. Check into your lodge by evening and rest after your hefty dinner.

Upon locating them, spend an hour observing them in their usual routines of play, feed, and rest. Return to the lodge at the end of your hour with the chimpanzees, have lunch, and thereafter check out. Travel to Kigali for your departure, where the tour began.
