Below is how your 12 days safari will unfold.

Full itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, pick up, and transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

As you land at Entebbe International Airport, our selected professional, and experienced guide driver will be onset to usher you into the country with a short highlight of your 12 days Uganda gorillas, chimpanzees, golden monkeys, and wildlife safari. Journey to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary the home of the rhinos en route to Murchison Falls National Park. Take on a rhino tracking experience on foot as vehicles are not allowed in the sanctuary and spend time sighting these heavy mammals as they graze. Further on this, there also other wildlife species such as waterbucks, reedbucks, antelopes, zebras, and hyenas that you can spot while in the sanctuary. Head out by midday for an en route lunch to Murchison Falls National Park. Drive to your booked lodge in the park later for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise

At the sound of the early risers the birds, have breakfast and prepare for your next adventure. Drive into the wilderness for an encounter with some of the wildlife species in Murchison Falls, such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, giraffes, oribis, and waterbucks to mention a few. Experience the beauty of nature at the sight of the world strongest waterfall, Murchison Falls after. This sighting adds a sense of nature and beauty to your wildlife safari in these 12 days. Go for lunch at your lodge after your park experience as you recharge for the afternoons adventure. Embark on a boat cruise at the Victoria Nile and spot the other water life side of the park. Hippos and Nile crocodiles the rulers of this part of the park can easily be spotted. Sign out your experience in the park with the sun as it sets behind the falls creating a scenic view of wonders as it combines with the rainbow on the falls. Have dinner at your lodge later and rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Your last breakfast in Murchison Falls National Park will be served and then check out of the lodge. Our driver guide will transfer you southeast to Kibale National Park, a journey that will be filled with spectacular sights of the environment and countryside lifestyle of the locals. Have a stopover midway your journey for lunch. Drive through the forest of Kibale as you close into the park. Arrive at your lodge have dinner and sleep.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland tour

Wake up for an early breakfast and head out to the briefing center for a pre-trekking briefing that calls out how this experience with be done. A grouping activity then commences as you are grouped in 8-people groups and after verification of the chimpanzee permits, begin your chimpanzee trekking. Between 4-6 hours into the forest, encounter the chimpanzees as they go about their daily activities for an hour. Capture memories as these primates play, and feed before heading your adventure and coming out of the forest. Lunch will be served at your lodge and then later head to Bigodi wetland for a tour. The wetland is a natural sanctuary for many species from birds to primates and wildlife. These you will encounter as you tour this wetland. In the evening head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Crater lakes exploration and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Explore the carter lakes dotted in this region of Fort Portal after your breakfast as you journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a delicious local cuisine in the tourism city after your crater lakes exploration. Finish off the day as you proceed to Queen Elizabeth later in the evening, have dinner and rest at your booked lodge.

Day 6: Game drive and Boat cruise

In the heart of the most popular park in the country, explore its plains on a game drive experience after your delicious breakfast at the lodge. Expect to spot wildlife species from the fearless lions, and gentle giants the elephants, the dangerous cape buffaloes, and elusive leopards. Further in the park encounter the hyenas, warthogs, antelopes, oribis, topis, antelopes, etc. All these animals can be spotted during this game drive experience. In the afternoon after your lunch at the lodge, drive to Katunguru landing site at Kazinga Channel. Here you will have a boat cruise and spot the aquatic life of Queen Elizabeth National Park with large schools of hippos and Nile crocodiles. You won’t miss the common visitors to the landing site that is the elephants, buffaloes, and waterbucks, among others. At dusk, head back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 7: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin your long journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after your breakfast. In the middle of your journey, you can have stopovers at the tea plantations as you spot how the locals harvest and through interactions learn about the tea plantation and manufacturing processes. Enjoy your fashioned en route lunch later. As evening clocks in, arrive at your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience

Just like other primate treks, a pre-trekking briefing with be organized at the park offices for a walk through the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking in Bwindi after your breakfast. Traverse the dense impenetrable forest in groups of 8 people with a leading guide ranger searching for the primates. With the help of tracker already in the forest, encounter the gorillas in their natural habitats and spend an hour in their presence. Later, drive back to the lodge for lunch. Explore the Batwa communities in the afternoon for a cultural experience where you learn the cultures and traditions of one of the oldest pygmy groups in Africa. The elders of the Batwa people with take you through their tales of history and how they lived in the forest for many years. Witness their hunting and other survival skills like firing making through their demonstrations. Have dinner later in the evening at your lodge and rest.

Day 9: Visit Lake Bunyonyi and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Check out of your lodge and head to Lake Bunyonyi after your breakfast. Sail on the deepest lake in the country and third deepest in Africa on a canoe ride as you spot the 29 dotted Islands. Interact with the fishermen and learn about the different histories of some the Islands on this lake. Enjoy lunch at the hotel on the lake as you proceed to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Arrive later in the evening at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Golden monkey trekking and drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Have a golden monkey trekking experience after your pre-trekking briefing and also breakfast at your lodge. These unique primates are only native to this park and not anywhere else in the country. This is why their easy and adventurous encounter is a special one. After taking pictures and videos, back to the lodge for lunch. Day 11: Walking safari and community tours

Lake Mburo National Park is popular for its large populations of wildlife such as buffaloes, zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and topis, among others that can be spotted on a walking safari after your breakfast. With no bigger predators like lions, walking safaris in Lake Mburo and adventurous and very popular as they bring you closer to the wild. Have lunch at your lodge after your adventure in the park. Drive to the communities of the Banyankole-Bahima people neighboring the park in the afternoon for a community tour. Experience their passion for the Ankole long-horned cattle as you witness them care for their cattle. Take part in the cultural practises like milking, and churning to produce ghee, activities that will conclude your safari. Enjoy your last dinner at your lodge as you fall off to sleep.

Day 12: Departure

The final day with commence with a delicious breakfast, check out, and then drive east for the capital Kampala. Midway your journey, stop for lunch before proceeding. As evening comes, you will be arriving at the hotel or airport for your flight back home.
